WHY SHOULD I DO THIS PROGRAM? WHY TRAVEL SOLO?

If you are facing a crossroads in your life, or you are confronted by a dilemma — particularly in your relationships — then you will find this program to be an amazing shot in the arm of energy, awakening you to a renewed sense of clarity and purpose. The Solo Travel Journey experience will help you to rapidly let go of any negative emotions you may be carrying, teach you powerful lessons that unlock hidden wisdom, and give you a personal, private, joyful experience with yourself.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM AN IDEAL CANDIDATE TO TAKE A SOLO TRAVEL JOURNEY? DO I NEED TO BE A CERTAIN AGE OR PLACE IN LIFE?

These are the characteristics of people who have had successful trips and experienced profound changes from following the steps of The Solo Travel Solution.

A) They are seeking a way to rediscover themselves and are ready for a breakthrough.

B) They are trapped in a frustrating relationship or a baffling relational pattern.

C) They are ready for separation or are just coming out of a separation (or divorce).

D) They are hungry to claim their true path and come to know their life’s work.

In terms of age range — people can go from late teens into their 80’s. The program works for anyone who is seeking an awakening and can get away on their own. The majority of graduates have been in their 40’s and 50’s, who have been moving through difficult situations in marriage. However, college graduates can benefit, as can retiring baby boomers, or young adults who are looking for the right partner or the confidence to start a family. Anyone needing to move through a transition in life is a perfect candidate for their first trip.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ‘LEAVING EVERYTHING BEHIND’? ISN’T THAT LIKE RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEMS?

Not at all. It’s the opposite. What we are trying to teach people to do is to understand where they are suffering.  We want them to be responsible for the life they created for themselves.  So we train people to have an experience of leaving their lives behind, temporarily, so that they can breathe again, resuscitate their energy, get a chance to come to grips with who they really are, and then come home and make positive changes. We want you to take a taste of personal freedom and feel alive, and let that energy start a ripple effect of momentum when you come home. The point of the trip is to come home again as a newer, better, more enlightened version of you —- not to disappear forever.

I’M CURIOUS ABOUT DOING THIS, BUT HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET AWAY? I HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES AND MONEY IS TIGHT….

The program is set up so that you can either take a once in a lifetime trip to a faraway land, OR you can simply set things up that you can get away from your day-to-day life. If time and money are an issue, no problem. By following the program, you will still develop a Question, and the Question will lead you on a journey. The point is that you want to immerse yourself in the emotional energy of your Question.  So if you can only afford to get away for a few hours, and your Question is about becoming more peaceful, then you can take a hike in the woods alone.  If your Question is about becoming financially free, then perhaps you can stay overnight in the city by yourself, and be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of commerce, thus awakening new ideas and possibilities within you.  You may want to take a small trip first, until you can afford to do a big trip later on. Create a lifestyle of Solo Travel. But follow the program to a tee.  It only works if you work it the way it was meant to be worked.

I’VE ALREADY PLANNED A VACATION FOR NEXT MONTH. CAN I DO THAT TRIP AS A SOLO TRAVEL?

Preferably not. The heightened experience of this program works when you move through the 3-Step process sequentially. You’ve got to dig deep about where you are suffering to awaken to your Question. Then you let the Question lead your journey, not the opposite. You may gain some clarity and insights doing it your way, but it’s unlikely that you would move through the kind of psychological threshold that continually happens to graduates of the program who follow the steps sequentially.  If you’ve already got it planned, then you are not really leaving everything behind. And that’s the point of this.  You want to feel like you are released, completely, from everything that your mind has been carrying. That’s what leads to awakenings and breakthroughs.

DO I HAVE TO KEEP THE SAME QUESTION ONCE I COME BACK?

No. You can keep changing your Question every few months as your life evolves. But you must keep the same format of a Question to really invite positive change. It should be like a mantra that gets into your subconscious. Make a lifestyle of this. Get a Question, plan a trip, come back, create change, make a new Question and a new trip. Always keep it moving.

WHAT HAPPENS ON THESE SOLO TRAVEL TRIPS?

A lot. Typically, there’s initially a release of emotions somewhere in the beginning of the trip. Then there’s a magical feeling of elation and liberation.  Then there’s a stretch or a test — a lost key, a canceled flight, a meeting with a strange person, a difficult emotional reaction while out there alone — all of these things are part of the journey.  Then there’s a feeling of accomplishment, victory and an awakening to insight that could not have happened without leaving everything behind. And then there may be an opportunity to celebrate oneself — a walk on a beach, a sunset dinner, a yoga class, a hike —- some kind of private ritual that honors who you really are and initiates you into your next level of life.  We teach you how to set all of this up, so that you are prepared when you are out there.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO GO FOR? HOW FAR DO I NEED TO TRAVEL?

We like to say that it doesn’t matter if you go 3 hours, 3 days or 3 months — you are still going to get the benefits of this program if you get the feeling of leaving everything behind. That’s the crucial piece that helps open the door to a feeling of aliveness and an awakening of wisdom. We recommend that you do a mini-trip first, say a half-a-day, to test out the program, and then plan a 3 day trip —- because you’ll get the feeling of a beginning, middle and end that really allows for amazing breakthroughs and continuity throughout the whole trip. If you can get away for longer, do it! But definitely try a mini-trip before hand, just to understand what you are getting into. How far to go? The best thing we can recommend to you is to let your Question lead your journey. If your Question is taking you a land far, far away…. then by all means, go! But if it’s not the right time, how can you get the equivalent feeling somewhere close to home? The main thing is that you are immersed in the energy of your Question. If you can do that, you will breakthrough into new life.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE COME HOME?

Also, a lot. Immediately, there can be a let down. You just came home from absolute bliss, but the kids are yelling and the garbage needs to be taken out. That’s normal. But also, there can be a confrontation. You may have realized that you need to leave your partner, and you come home and see them now knowing the truth within you. This can be difficult, and we will support you with this.  A number of people have used their Solo Travel Journeys as a way to prepare themselves for separation or divorce. But the trip is a necessary part of the process, that feeds them with clarity and power to make their move. Often, people come back and get a sense that they are meant to have a different kind of career, or need a daily spiritual practice in their life. That’s one of the key benefits of these trips: it awakens you to your life’s work.

I’M IN THERAPY RIGHT NOW. WILL THIS INTERFERE WITH MY  HEALING WORK?

We would never want this to be an interference to other educational, healing practices that you engage in. Rather, it should enhance your work. The Solo Travel Solution program is something of a sprint — it is like entering a movie, only you are the hero of the movie and the movie is reality. It will take you on an unforgettable adventure, and it will enter your subconscious so that you will never be the same again. Share these experiences with your therapist or counselor. They can only enhance the work that you are doing, especially if your professional healer is open-minded and good at what they do. You are allowed to do whatever healing, transformative work resonates with you.

IF I GO ON ONE JOURNEY, CAN I GO BACK AND DO ANOTHER? HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE TRIPS ALONE?

There’s no set-in-stone answer to this question. For someone who sees this process as a lifestyle, we recommend taking Solo Travel Journeys 2 to 4 times a year. You can also take mini-journeys more frequently, little day trips here and there.  It’s a great way to hit the refresh button.  But the main thing is to get yourself started and take your first trip.  Then, going the second time will be like meeting that amazing version of you out there again.
